{whole 30 round #2-Day 1 and 2}

ok, so i've been extremely bad about posting lately...and there is SO MUCH TO POST ABOUT! besides our trip that i still haven't finished, we had an exciting memorial day where we......


i'll have to put a whole post together about the entire proposal, but my "fiance" is da bomb. and since i'm sure you are all's a shot of the ring. beautiful. i love love love it. 

but the thing i really want to talk about, is my whole30 challenge. the man and i did this about a year and a half ago, and made it through day 7 i believe...but i'm bound and determined to make it the whole 30 days. it's harder this time because it's summer and drinking and summer seem to go hand in hand...but i figure it's always a bad time for something like this.

so, to recap so far:

day 1:

breakfast: small handful of nuts, hardboiled egg

lunch: big spinach salad with tomatoes, mushrooms, avocado, red onion, and lemon and olive oil dressing. it looked something like this


dinner: spaghetti squash with tomato sauce

day 2:

breakfast: plum and a hardboiled egg

lunch: leftover tomato sauce with ground beef, and a small spinach salad with mushrooms, red onion, carrots, tomato and lemon olive oil dressing

dinner: beef burger with fresh herbs and garlic, wrapped in lettuce with whole 30 approved mustard, pickles, red onion and avocado... and a side of roasted broccoli.

aside from thinking about all my food, i had a horrendous headache all day yesterday. it sounds like it's pretty common when you are detoxing all the sugar from your body.  (i'm still shocked that i would need to detox...but there's sugar in things i would never imagine!!)

i haven't worked out yet, because i'm pretty tired...but i will have to because i have two 5 mile races this weekend. it could be painful...but i'll get through them!
